Shawnn Monteiro is performing at the Provincetown Jazz Festival

Sandwiched between the Newport Jazz Festival and September’s Berklee BeanTown Jazz Festival is the Provincetown Jazz Festival.

This three-day music fest gets underway with vocal jazz group, String of Pearls, and Swiss singer Beat Kaestli.

On Saturday, it is vocalist Shawnn Monteiro.   And opening the program is New York’s Finest Jazz Ensemble (all 18 members are full-time New York City police officers).

Sunday’s music is by Boston singer Krisanthi Pappas, plus guitarist Jim Robitaille and pianist John Harrison III.
